Reminder: Purísima Long Weekend in Andorra with Heavy Traffic Expected!

Just a quick heads-up for those who may not be familiar yet: this weekend is the Purísima long weekend, one of the busiest of the year in Andorra. The combination of Christmas events, holiday shopping, and the opening of ski resorts attracts a large number of visitors.

•⁠ ⁠Heavy inbound traffic is expected today, Friday afternoon, especially at the Sant Julià entry point.
•⁠ ⁠Heavy outbound traffic is expected on Monday afternoon (December 8th), again via Sant Julià.

During the weekend:
•⁠ ⁠Expect traffic around ski resort access roads around 9:00 AM (opening time) and 5:00 PM (closing time).
•⁠ ⁠Traffic congestion is common throughout the afternoon and evening in the central parishes (Andorra la Vella and Escaldes-Engordany).

Recommendation: Minimize travel if possible, or plan your routes and schedules carefully to avoid delays.

There are many citizens who, for whatever reason, decide to buy outside Andorra and then carry out the tax free to save on taxes from neighboring countries.
