*Major_Trade_Update*

The US and EU have just struck a deal to avoid a trade war but it comes at a cost: a 15% tariff on most EU goods according to Reuters. This means American consumers will now pay 15% more on imports from Europe like cars, medicine, and semiconductors. 🇺🇸💸

Interestingly, instead of retaliating, the EU agreed to increase its purchases of U.S. energy and military equipment choosing cooperation over counter-tariffs.

Now imagine if Zambia adopted a similar policy say, a 15% tariff on imported agriculture and livestock products to boost our local farmers, ranchers, and agri-businesses.

Could this:👇
✅ Make Zambian products more competitive?
✅ Attract local investment in agro-processing?
❌ Or would it raise food prices and spark retaliation?

It’s a bold idea — but in a global economy, would it work for us?

With all this back-and-forth about gold mines and trying to find investors to mine our own gold, I honestly think the best move is to let ZNS run all the gold mines, with Bank of Zambia as the main buyer.

Just look at how well ZNS is doing in agriculture, they’ve shown they can deliver. If we extended that same approach to gold mining, it could really work in our favour. Sometimes the best investment is in ourselves.

I haven't seen anyone saying "2025 is going to be my year" Looks like we've all learnt our lessons this year.

Money has been sustaining alot of relationships and love us taking the credit😂
