This is for your basic living expenses:
• Rent
• Food
• Transport
• Utilities

These are things you must pay for.

30% – 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞)
This is for things you enjoy:
• Eating out
• Entertainment
• Shopping
• Data bundles (beyond basic needs)

These are not essential, but they improve your lifestyle.

20% – 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 & 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
This is for your future:
• Savings
• Emergency fund
• Small investments
• Paying off debt faster

Practical Example (Zambia):
If you earn 𝐊5,000 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡:

• K2,500 → Needs
• K1,500 → Wants
• K1,000 → Savings / Investment

Now here’s the important part:

You don’t have to be perfect to start.

If 20% feels too much, start with:
• 5%
• 10%

What matters is building the 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲.

Over time, you can adjust and improve.
