Municipal Councillors Pension Fund

The Fund participated on the Salga Eastern Cape Joint working Group. Trustee Sello , Member elected Trustee for Eastern Cape addressed councillors and municipal officials on governance and investment issues of the Fund, The MCPF Principal Officer, Mr Wanda Ndabeni took the podium and emphasised that MCPF belongs to its members and the focus would be to making sure that members are engaged and updated to about developments in the Fund. Members welcomed the newly appointed PO and expressed expectations that the Fund must undertake roadshows to districts and local municipal level to engage with membership.

Appointment of Principal Officer Notice

The Municipal Councillors Pension Fund (MCPF) visited the family of our late Trustee, Cllr Cheryl Ntombifuthi Sisoka in Lamontville in Durban, as they prepare for her burial tomorrow, 18 January 2026.

The delegation was led by our Chairperson, Cllr Lesetja Dikgale, joined by Trustee Sheila Huma, Trustee Sipho Radebe, and the Fund’s Marketing & Communication Manager, Azwifarwi Phuravhathu.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Sisoka family. 🕊️
Cllr Sisoka’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving municipal councillors will forever be remembered.

May her soul rest in peace.

The Fund is participating on Salga Gauteng PMA taking place at Maropeng conference center with MCPF Gauteng Board of Trustee, Cllr. Sipho Radebe . Later, the MCPF Marketing and communication Manager, Mr Azwi Phuravhathu will participate on panel discussion on councilors support/ Pension fund for Municipal Councilors and it's readiness to payout Councillors after upcoming elections, two pot systems and reallocation of difference in investment returns.
