THE ACCOUNTING CHECKLIST — because “I’ll sort it out later” is not actually a financial strategy. 😂

Running a business is exciting… until you realise you also have to keep track of invoices, expenses, bank reconciliations, cash flow, tax and about 47 other things nobody mentioned when you said, “I’m going to start my own business.”

So here’s your friendly reminder:

☑️ Keep your records updated — future you will thank you.
☑️ Reconcile those bank accounts — because money disappearing into the “mystery ” category is never a good sign.
☑️ Send your invoices — getting paid is generally a lovely part of business.
☑️ Keep an eye on cash flow — because profit on paper doesn’t pay the petrol bill.
☑️ Stay SARS compliant — because ignoring tax deadlines doesn't make them disappear. 🙈
☑️ Look at your financial reports — your numbers are actually trying to tell you something.
☑️ Plan ahead — because “we’ll see what happens” is better suited to choosing dinner than running a business.

ENOUGH. OUR WOMEN DESERVE TO COME HOME!!!!

There are moments when the words “my heart goes out to the families” simply don't feel like enough.

As a woman, a mother, a sister, a daughter — and one who lives and works in this community — the news coming out of Kempton Park and surrounding areas is deeply heartbreaking.

Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo,
Itumeleng Kekana and many more women, these are not just names in a news report.
They were women with families.
Women with people who loved them.
Women with dreams, responsibilities, laughter, memories and lives that mattered.

And there are other women whose names have not yet been publicly confirmed.

We must remember them too.

Behind every unidentified body is a woman whose name matters. A family who is waiting. Someone who is hoping for answers.

And behind every headline is a woman who had a life.

She had people who loved her.
She had dreams.
She had plans for tomorrow.
She had a reason to come home.

Police are investigating multiple deaths of women in and around Kempton Park and Ekurhuleni and have established a specialised task team to determine whether the cases are connected.
But regardless of whether these cases ultimately prove connected or not, one thing remains painfully clear: women are being murdered, and families are being left shattered.

Women should not have to live in fear.

We should be able to run.
We should be able to walk.
We should be able to work.
We should be able to travel.
We should be able to meet people.
We should be able to go home.

We should be able to come home alive.

To the families of Elizabeth, Itumeleng and every woman whose life has been taken:
Solaris IT & Finance sees you. We grieve with you. And we remember that these women were so much more than the circumstances of their deaths.

Their lives mattered.

Their names matter.

Their families matter.

And the safety of every woman matters.

🕊️ ENOUGH.

We cannot allow these women to become statistics that disappear from our news feeds after a few days.

Remember them.
Speak about them.
Look out for one another.
Demand answers.
Demand accountability.
