After completing high school, Bonita worked part time as a Frontline Receptionist before taking a role with Academy for Mathematics as a Verification Clerk. In her 3-years with the Academy for Mathematics, Bonita was promoted twice, into the roles of Stock Controller and National Stock Controller. She then took a role with Blue Disa Construction & Steelworks as Accounts Manager and Senior Bookkeeper. In June 2008 Bonita was offered a Senior Accounts Manager role with SNF Floerger RSA (Pty) Ltd. She completed her Accounting Diploma in this time, as well as a Certificate in Chemistry to enhance her understanding of the industry. Bonita provided assistance to the Financial Director and became heavily involved in managing the export and import processes, as well as managing stock, preparing for audits and performing a sales administration function. As a result of her sharp business acumen and exceptional work ethic, Bonita was headhunted by Siyathembana Trading 274 (Pty) Ltd in 2013, into a Financial Administration role which evolved over the years and saw her take on more responsibility across all areas of the business with promotion to General Manager, where she had full responsibility for developing and implementing strategies across all aspects of the business, including sales and marketing, business development, financial processes and human resources. During her time with Siyathembana Trading 274 (Pty) Ltd Bonita developed and implemented all systems and processes, as well as built the business from 1 client to over 100 project-based clients, with a contact list in excess of 5000 contacts, and a turnover of R40million. She established the Marketing Department from scratch, designed all marketing material and managed social media platforms and the company website. In December 2018, Bonita was offered the General Manager position with Orca Fuel Solutions (Pty) Ltd, seeing her exercise her exceptional business management and leadership skills across 4 departments encompassing engineering, HR and finance, sales and the factory. She continues to provide her expertise in strategy development, leadership and business improvement in order to create a positive working environment and an organisation that moves from strength to strength. Bonita is a solution-oriented professional with exceptional commitment, knowledge and experience that sets her apart from her peers. She has comprehensive knowledge of business principles, regulatory processes and an understanding of stakeholder engagement at a senior level.
