💡 TAX TIP: Check what the IRS has before filing!
Do you need to file taxes for more than one year? Did you work a short-term job, drive for a delivery service, or earn extra money and forget about it?
The IRS may already have a record of that income.
Before filing, pull these two transcripts:
📄 Wage and Income Transcript: Shows income reported to the IRS from jobs, side gigs and other sources.
💰 Tax Account Transcript: Shows what you paid, what you owe, and any penalties or interest added to your account.
Checking your transcripts can help you avoid missing tax forms and receiving a surprise tax bill later.

When business, family, and problem-solving all meet at the Apple Store. 📱💼
My phone stopped working, so I used another phone to call my nephson and asked him to reach out to my daughter, Jasmine.
Jasmine: “Meet me at Apple.”
Once we got there, the Apple technician confirmed what I didn’t want to hear: my phone was too old to restore or trade in.
Without missing a beat, Jasmine said:
“Just get her the new Pro phone and put it on my business account.”
That moment made me smile for more reasons than one.
As an entrepreneur, I conduct a significant amount of business from my phone. It is not just a communication tool—it is part of how I serve clients, manage operations, stay connected, and keep business moving.
And as a mom, there is something special about watching your child become business-minded, solution-oriented, and decisive in her own right.

Business lesson: Technology is part of today’s business infrastructure. When legitimate businesses work together, expenses such as phones, technology, reimbursements, or shared business costs should always be supported by a bona fide business purpose and proper documentation.
Under IRC §162(a), ordinary and necessary expenses paid or incurred in carrying on a trade or business may generally be deductible when the requirements are met.
The lesson: Document the business purpose, keep the receipts, and structure intercompany transactions properly.
Family may have saved the day, but good business practices still matter. 😉
