There has been a temporary rule change that allows 100% tax deduction for meals at restaurants (eat in and to go) for business owners for 2021 and 2022. This rule was changed in an effort to increase activity at hard hit restaurants as a result of the pandemic.

The new tax laws have made a portion of your unemployment benefits tax exempt. If you've already filed your taxes before the tax software was updated the IRS is working to get those refunds issued to those individuals.

"That means singles making between $80,000 and $100,000, as well as couples earning between $160,000 and $200,000, are newly excluded from a partial benefit under Biden’s plan."

Make sure that you provide your tax preparer with the amounts you received for stimulus funds (or if you never received yours). There's a recapture credit for the stimulus payments on the tax returns this year. IRS to delay tax season until Feb. 12
The Internal Revenue Service plans to open filing season on Feb. 12, although it is making its Free File program available starting Friday.
