Big Win for Homebuyers!

Here’s what it means:
When a homebuyer applies for a mortgage and their credit is pulled, that inquiry used to trigger the credit bureaus to sell their information to other lenders.
New law passed to protect homebuyers information.
- Buyers would suddenly get dozens of incredibly disruptive phone calls, texts, and emails from random lenders they’ve never spoken to.
- This new law greatly restricts those “trigger leads.”
- Other lenders can’t access your information unless you opt-in
- Or they already have an existing relationship with you
This new law:
- Protects homebuyers from unwanted solicitations and protect their privacy during the homebuying process.
