Her passion for education, enthusiasm in the classroom, and commitment to student growth truly make her stand out.

Mrs. Sole is a veteran teacher of 25 years, serving Union students for the last 17 years at Boevers and Darnaby Elementary. She has taught multiple grade levels but has spent much of her time in 3rd and 4th grade English Language Arts, building lasting connections with her students. She reminds them daily to “go be great” in all that they do. ❤️🖤

Andersen Elementary fifth grade teacher Cory Allen has been named the 2024-2025 District Teacher of the Year for Union Public Schools. The announcement was made this morning at the Union Performing Arts Center during a day planned for professional development activities.

Tonight's TTCU Federal Credit Union Teacher of the Game is Mr. Aaron Parsons!

Mr. Parsons has dedicated his entire teaching career to Union, beginning in 2001. He currently teaches math, science, and social studies at Darnaby Elementary, where he has been since 2006. Over the years, he has had the privilege of teaching countless committed students and connecting with their wonderful families. Some standout moments from his career include coaching golf, cross country, and track—highlighted by the boys’ team winning the state championship in 2017. Other cherished memories involve unique science projects like launching pumpkins from the roof, sponsoring clubs such as the Darnaby Running Club, Darnaby Discoverers, and the Language Club, and working with some of the most talented teachers and administrators in the country. He feels grateful to have been part of the Union family for so many years.

This evening, Amanda Flaherty—TTCU Cares Foundation Director, Union alumna, and Union parent—is presenting Mr. Parsons with a $100 gift card from TTCU Federal Credit Union as a token of appreciation for his dedication to Union Public Schools.
