Dear friends and clients:

We’re excited to welcome Haley Rust who will be joining us this summer to intern in our growing practice. Many of you who connect with us virtually may have already been introduced to Haley in our meetings since she has been virtually interning since the start of the year.

Haley is in her senior year in the Financial Planning program at Texas A&M University. After meeting with several highly qualified candidates last fall, I initially selected Haley for her conscientious spirit and commitment to academic excellence. Since joining us in January, she has continued to stand out—demonstrating a true heart for service to both our team and our clients, along with a strong intellect when reviewing client cases.

As we head into the summer, Haley will join us in the office full-time. In addition to sitting in on meetings, she will begin collaborating more closely with our team—contributing to strategies we implement during client conversations and gaining deeper, hands-on experience in the planning process.

Mentoring Haley has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s also an important part of how we stay connected to and engaged with the next generation. As we continue to support families, it’s essential that we’re learning, evolving, and providing accessible and relevant advice in all seasons of life.

We’re delighted to have Haley as part of our team and look forward to you meeting her!

Florida was the perfect reminder of how important it is to make time for both meaningful relationships and memorable experiences.

From celebrating a beautiful wedding to exploring Honeymoon Island State Park and hiking the Osprey Trail, where we spotted bald eagles (check out that wingspan!) and osprey, the trip was full of unforgettable moments. We even saw a manatee while kayaking!

One of the best parts was sharing dinner with clients and spending time together outside the office. Moments like these are a great reminder that this business is built on relationships.

Grateful for the chance to celebrate, connect, and recharge.

April is Financial Literacy Month. It is a great reminder that building wealth does not start with complex strategies. It starts with understanding the basics.

As a financial advisor, I have seen that small, consistent habits often matter more than big, one-time moves. Creating a budget, contributing regularly to retirement accounts, and asking questions can all lead to meaningful progress over time.
