No-exam life insurance can sound simple, but it is still important to understand what you are buying.

This WSJ Buy Side article explains that some no-exam policies use accelerated underwriting, while others may be simplified issue or guaranteed issue. The application process may be faster, but coverage limits, pricing, health questions, and policy features can vary.

Consumer-friendly takeaway: Convenience is helpful, but the policy still needs to fit the need. Before choosing coverage, review the amount, term length, cost, underwriting type, exclusions, conversion options, and how the policy protects your family.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, and it is a useful reminder that many families may not know whether they have enough protection in place.

This LIMRA / LOMA article highlights 2026 research showing that many adults either do not own life insurance or believe they need more coverage. One common barrier is misunderstanding the cost or not knowing where to begin.

Consumer-friendly takeaway: Life insurance planning should start with the people and obligations you want to protect: income, debt, children, mortgage, caregiving needs, business responsibilities, and long-term goals.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, which makes it a good time to review whether your coverage still matches your life.

Life insurance should be reviewed after major life changes such as marriage, divorce, children, a new home, job changes, business ownership, or caregiving responsibilities. The goal is protection that fits your current needs, not yesterday’s assumptions.

Heads up California !!
Our good governor and Attorney General..at it again…
Major property tax increase on the California ballot.
Your property tax increases are on the launch pad. California politicians are trying to repeal prop 13 by slipping it under the radar. They plan to raise property tax revenue by eliminating the only thing keeping some people's property tax from sky rocketing,
Prop 13.
They know it will be unpopular if presented as
"Repeal Prop 13,"
It is strategically relabeled as
"Education and Local Government Funding."
It's already on the 2026 ballot and like the gasoline tax, it will be worded in a way that misleads California voters.
Vote NO on Education and Local Government Funding!!!!!!
All my California friends and family, please COPY and REPOST as this must be defeated.

Here’s a gift they may still be thanking you for 20, 30, or even 50 years from now. 👀
Most kids don’t need another toy that ends up in a closet.
What if $50 a month could help provide life insurance protection, living benefits, and cash-value accumulation for a child or grandchild?
That’s a gift with a much longer shelf life. ❤️

If you’re curious how this works, comment “GIFT” or send me a message.

Talking about money with kids can feel uncomfortable, especially if no one talked about money openly when you were growing up.

This Washington Post / AP article explains how families can use everyday moments, like grocery shopping, taxes, saving, and spending choices, to help children understand money in a practical way.

Consumer-friendly takeaway: Family financial education does not have to be a formal lesson. Small, honest conversations about budgeting, saving, needs vs. wants, and making trade-offs can help children build confidence over time.

Savings Habits

Saving money should not feel like punishment. It should feel like taking back control.

This Kiplinger article explains “revenge saving,” a trend where people respond to overspending, inflation stress, or financial uncertainty by becoming more intentional about saving. The healthier version is not about extreme cutbacks. It is about aligning spending with goals.

Consumer-friendly takeaway: Start with one clear savings purpose: emergency cash, debt reduction, a future purchase, retirement, or protection for your family. Then build a repeatable habit that fits your real cash flow.

Americans are pushing back against overspending and financial fatigue by saving with renewed purpose. Here's how to use the trend to strengthen your finances.
