IRS is opening the season this year on January 24th. Be sure you have all your documents together including any payments you received from IRS during 2021 (advance child tax credit and stimulus payments) and your pin if you received one. 

All returns filed with unemployment benefits will have to be amended, If the IRS doesn’t change the returns while processing. We will contact all clients once we receive our update. Thank you for your patience during this changing and challenging year.

Looks like there may be some changes to unemployment taxability for 2020, so anyone with unemployment income who has not filed will be held from efiling til we know if this will be passed as part of the new stimulus bill.
