A little friendly competition, LLME style.

There’s a lot that goes into a career at LLME beyond the work itself. Collaboration, camaraderie and having some fun along the way all shape the experience.

This time, the competition moved to the racetrack. Our team took on go-karts, arcade games and each other for an afternoon that brought out everyone’s competitive side, with bragging rights on the line, of course.

A summer tradition we look forward to every year! Our team enjoyed a day at the ballpark cheering on the Padres, spending time together, and making the most of the summer before we kick off fall busy season.

Here’s to great company, good times, and one more summer outing before things get busy!

What does the pathway to partnership look like? Our Summer Internship class had the opportunity to explore that question during our Pathway to Partner panel, where several of our partners shared the unique journeys that led them to where they are today.

Thank you to our panelists for investing in our interns by sharing your experiences, lessons learned, and advice for those just beginning their careers. We appreciate your openness and your commitment to inspiring the next generation of professionals.

If you’ve met Rodolfo Mercado Jr., you know how he shows up for his clients, colleagues and community. And this recognition won’t come as a surprise. We’re proud to share he was named a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s 2026 40 Under 40 awards!

From starting as an intern to leading some of the firm’s most complex client work, Rudy has built his LLME career on his authenticity and willingness to lift others up. He’s a trusted advisor to clients, mentor to our interns, sounding board for our new hires and familiar face for CSUSM (his alma mater) students.

Congratulations, Rudy — thank you for inspiring us since 2016!

One of our favorite LLME traditions.

Each year after busy season, our team heads to RB Inn for a well-deserved day to relax, reconnect, and celebrate another successful season. From golf and spa treatments to great food, games, and an evening celebration, it’s a chance to decompress and enjoy some well-earned time together.

Thank you to our incredible team for all you do.
