No April Fools here. As long as you file an extension by April 15th.
Extensions buy time for clarity: less rushing, fewer mistakes, and better decisions—especially when you’re still waiting on K-1s/1099s, reconciling numbers, or sorting out a complicated year. That extra runway gives you space to gather complete info, ask the right questions, and file with confidence.
An important note — extensions gives you more time to file, not more time to pay. If you expect to owe, your estimated payment still needs to be made by April 15 to help avoid penalties and interest.
Need help? Wicks Emmett can file your extension, estimate what you may owe, and use the extra time to prepare a clear, accurate return that maximizes your benefit.
