📚🍎 Back to School for the Last of the Lumina Kids!

Yesterday marked the first day back to school for Evelyn and Ruby, who are starting 7th grade and 6th grade this year!

As the last of our to head back to the classroom, they're officially closing the book on summer and opening an exciting new chapter. From summer adventures and family memories to new classes, new teachers, and new opportunities, we're excited to see what this school year has in store.

Wishing Evelyn, Ruby, and all of the students heading back to school a year filled with learning, growth, and plenty of reasons to smile. Here's to a great start! 🎒✨

✈️🍂 Travel Thursday: Hocking Hills Edition

As our last hurrah of summer, our family took a trip to Hocking Hills, and it was the perfect way to wrap up the season. The hiking was extraordinary, with beautiful scenery around every turn and plenty of opportunities to explore together.

This was also our first trip with our dog, Sophie, and she didn't slow down for a single hike! 🐾 She kept pace with the family and was ready for every adventure.

Most importantly, we enjoyed lots of quality family time and a chance to recharge before a busy fall. It was exactly the reset we needed before the kids headed back to school... and today is their first day back! 📚🍎

🎒✏️ 8th grade, here she comes!

Addi is ready to take on a new school year and all the adventures that come with it. We can't wait to see all the great things she'll accomplish.

As for Coco... let's just say she's not thrilled about losing her daytime partner in crime. 🐾😂 She's currently accepting extra treats and sympathy while she waits for Addi to come home.

One of our favorite memories from the Ameriprise Iconic National Conference in Denver wasn't in a meeting room, but on the dance floor!

After a week of learning, networking, and bringing back new ideas to better serve our clients, we enjoyed a Western Disco night featuring live music, cowboy hats, and plenty of line dancing. The Lumina team embraced the theme and danced the night away alongside advisors from across the country.

Events like these are a great reminder that some of the most meaningful connections happen outside of conference sessions. We're grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate with such an incredible community.

As summer winds down, Barb's family took a last-day-of-summer fishing trip to Lake Arthur. 🎣

Between casting lines, enjoying the peaceful water, and spending quality time together, it was the perfect way to celebrate a season filled with fun and adventure. Moments like these serve as a reminder that life's most treasured memories often come from simply being together.

✈️☀️ Travel Thursday: Siesta Key Edition

This week, Jennifer and her kids traded schedules for sunshine in Siesta Key, Florida!

The trip was all about slowing down and enjoying the simple things: beach walks, great food, and plenty of rest. Jennifer logged more than 8 miles a day walking the shoreline, with special sunrise walks alongside Elizabeth and sunset walks with Leo.

One of the most memorable adventures was a nighttime LED kayak tour through the mangroves, where they spotted crabs, fish, and shrimp beneath the glowing water.

And then there was the unexpected visitor... a manatee that swam right up to them in the ocean. According to Jennifer, it was enormous, even longer than Leo!

From beach strolls and ice cream truck stops 🍦 to wildlife encounters and family time, Siesta Key delivered the perfect summer getaway.

🍎 A new school year means new opportunities, new friendships, and new adventures.

Jennifer's kids are excited to head back to the classroom and see what this year has in store. As parents, we cherish these moments and the chance to watch our children learn and grow.
