Once your photos are posted you have 0 control over who gets access to them or what they do with them.
That means they could be used by scammers trying to convince people they have a happy little family and they should be trusted so “please send that $50 to help us buy milk” or it could be used by people who use AI to distort them into the most disturbing images imaginable.

You just don’t know. Consider sharing less, not more. Especially when it comes to your kids.

I was listening to a the podcast today and their guest said this.

I thought we could all use this reminder.

It’s important to be responsible with money because we can’t hardly function in our world without some of it - but money shouldn’t be the end goal. We should learn how to make, manage and use money so that we can focus on the other more important parts of our lives.

We aren’t taught (in school) how to best make, manage and spend money. But there are THOUSANDS of resources out there to learn now. There’s something out there that speaks to you and your situation - I promise.

This year I’ll be releasing a series of posts about Money.

Not about crypto or anything that asks you to invest with me - nah. I’m gonna go from the ground up. Let’s take the time to learn about how money is a tool and how we can use it to improve how lives. Let’s learn about how to control our money instead of being controlled by money.

Listen - money won’t buy happiness. Not having money won’t either. Let’s recognize money for what it is - one of the most useful tools we can have.

This new series will talk about all sorts of things: Credit card and credit scores, budgeting, saving and investing, social security and retirement, loans, Financial Independence (Coast, Barista, Lean and Fat), taxes and liens - literally there is so much we were not taught about money. Let’s fix that.

Let’s Talk Money. Posts will go up on the first Monday of every month - if you need a reminder you can join the email list or just follow along on here and turn on notifications and I’ll be sure to post when new posts are up.

I’ve started to share some of my short stories - right now I’ve got thriller and mild horror scheduled to be published every Saturday for the next month in case you’re in to that kind of thing.

I think it’s time to stop pretending. I’m not enamored with having an online boutique. I’m not crazy about fashion or finding what’s trending and I’m really self conscious about trying to advertise products - because if I’m honest … I’m over the over-consumerism. So, I’m not chasing the online boutique space anymore.

I will still offer some things for sale - but ill be more selective about what is available, and much of it will be print on demand or made to order, because it’s more sustainable that way.

So here’s to getting back to what I should’ve been focused on all along, what I actually am motivated to do - writing. Not trying to push sales.
