I get alot of questions about the potential reporting of receiving money via Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, etc.
The $600 threshhold has not gone into place for tax year 2023 so unless you have a small business and you're taking credit cards, you should not receive one.
If you do, verify that you didn't receive it in error.
For the future, it's a good idea when you send money to always put in the memo section what the payment is for.
It's just a good CYA.
