For over a decade, Northwestern Mutual has been committed to accelerating the search for better treatments and cures for childhood cancer while supporting families undergoing treatment and survivors living with late-term effects.
During September’s , NM reinforced this commitment by pledging a donation to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for every financial plan presented to a prospective client.
I'm proud to share that we’ve collectively contributed over $1.8 million to ALSF, funding more than 36,000 hours of critical research as a result of this initiative.

I had the honor of hearing Nicole Malachowski—the first female pilot selected to fly with the USAF Thunderbirds—speak at Northwestern Mutual’s Eastern Regional Meeting. Her take on turbulence was eye-opening: pilots have all kinds of predictive tools, but they still can’t pinpoint exactly when it’ll strike. The silver lining? Turbulence always passes—you just have to ride it out.
That lesson applies to financial planning, too. No matter how many scenarios or simulations you run, life can still throw you a curveball. That’s why a holistic plan—covering protection, preservation, and growth—matters so much. It keeps you steady, even when things get bumpy!
