This year, I had an abundance of kale and Swiss Chard from my garden. Well today, I pick some of my eggplants and onions. My brocolli and Asparagus not good. There are more to come soon eggplants 🍆 and onions 🧅 I also have peppers 🫑 🌶️ watermelons 🍉 and grapes 🍇 . I am so excited. Love this so much ❤️

My husband and I have had COVID for an entire week, but today we’re feeling much better. Throughout the week, we indulged in everything we craved—chicken broth, chicken soup, pizza, shakes, hamburgers, teriyaki boxes—even though we're normally vegetarians. This morning's breakfast was particularly uplifting and rejuvenating. We enjoyed a traditional Cuban breakfast, which made us feel even better. Here is the before and after. Something to think about. Today is National Equal Pay Day. This significant day highlights the ongoing gender pay gap, symbolizing how far into the new year a woman must work to earn as much as a man did in the previous year. Shockingly, women working full-time, year-round, earn only $0.84 for every dollar earned by men. This disparity is even more pronounced for women of color, further emphasizing the urgent need for equal pay and gender equity in the workforce.
Statistics shows that 3 out 4 men and 1 out 3 women don’t think there is no pay inequality at work.
Asking for Equality at Work:
1. Be Proactive and Do the Research of How Much You Should be Paid.
2. Schedule a Meeting.
3. Be Assertive and Confident.
4. Allow for Dialogue.
5. Point out the Pay Inequality.
6. Ask for Solutions and When it will go in Effect.
Salaries and Promotions Negotiations:
1. Know what your worth is when you approach your boss.
2. Address what you bring to your job.
3. Highlight your skills, experience, and wins.

4. Latinas are compensated just 55% of what non-Hispanic white men are paid in 2024.
5. Black women are paid 64% of what non-Hispanic white men are paid.
6. Native American women are typically paid only 59 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men.
7. A 20-year-old woman just starting full-time, year-round work stands to lose $407,760 over a 40-year career compared to her male counterpart.
