Should you ever serve as your client's power of attorney? The answer is almost always no.

Our chief compliance officer and general counsel Lisandra Wilmott was recently featured in Financial Advisor Magazine sharing her insights on why position-of-trust relationships are among the most legally fraught areas in wealth management and why a wave of regulatory actions may be coming as advisors are called to actually execute on roles they agreed to years ago.

"Regardless of whether you are a good faith advisor, there's still the appearance to beneficiaries and regulators that there is no way someone could really function as both the manager of the assets and the distributor of those assets," she said.

Diversification in the S&P 500 may not mean what most investors think it does.

Our CIO Anshul Sharma recently wrote a piece for Investment News, where he explored how a small group of mega-cap stocks now accounts for roughly 35%-40% of index weight, reshaping what “broad market” exposure actually looks like in client portfolios.

As Anshul notes, today’s market can begin to resemble a “S&P 10 or 20,” where returns and risk are increasingly driven by a narrow set of companies.

For advisors, that shift raises an important question: how much unintended concentration is already embedded in portfolios that are meant to be diversified?

Our founder & CEO Ritik was recently featured in Wealth Management, where he shared his thoughts on why AI in wealth management is only as effective as the infrastructure behind it.

Today, many firms are layering AI onto fragmented systems and disconnected data, limiting the context advisors need to deliver truly personalized advice at scale. That model is built to fail. As Ritik writes: "A unified, purpose-built system of record is the prerequisite. When client data, investments, planning, tax and estate considerations all live together natively, the outcome is real context. And context is what separates useful AI from potentially dangerous AI."

Read the full article here for more on Ritik’s perspectives on how the right AI infrastructure is separating the haves from the have nots in wealth management.

When markets get choppy, silence isn’t a strategy.

Our wealth manager Brian Boswell was recently featured in Investment News discussing how advisors should approach client communication during periods of volatility. His take is straightforward: when things go sideways, it is important to pick up the phone.

For Brian, headline news is the barometer. If clients are seeing it, they're feeling it.

“I work from the assumption that silence from us creates space for anxiety to grow, and our job is to close that gap before it ever opens,” he said.

Most investors already have exposure to AI in their portfolios, but many don’t realize how concentrated it may be.

Our chief investment officer Anshul Sharma recently wrote in Barron’s Advisor on what a more disciplined AI investment strategy looks like and why the conversation should extend beyond the handful of companies driving index returns.

Read Anshul’s full piece on how AI-driven growth is showing up across infrastructure, energy, industrials, and real assets, and why the right entry point depends on a client’s risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and broader financial picture.

If March was defined by an oil shock, April was defined by the market's ability to look through it.

The S&P 500 surged 10.4%, its best month since November 2020. The Nasdaq gained 15.3%. And the MSCI Emerging Markets Index hit a record high.

In our April 2026 Global Markets Recap, Savvy's Chief Investment Officer Anshul Sharma breaks down how earnings momentum and AI investment helped risk assets recover, even as inflation and energy prices remained elevated.
