Edman crushed a go-ahead three-run homer in the seventh inning to lift Los Angeles to a 6-5 win over Washington. He also made a spectacular leaping catch at the wall earlier in the game to take away extra bases.

The Dodgers have now won three straight despite playing the last three games without Ohtani. “He’s a heck of a ballplayer,” Dave Roberts said of Edman. “He’s playing his tail off.”
