EITC Refund Timeline Update

If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), please be aware of the following IRS timeline.

The IRS is legally required to hold refunds that include EITC until at least February 21, 2026, even if the return was filed early and accepted.

Most taxpayers who:
• filed electronically
• chose direct deposit
• have no issues with their return

can expect refunds to be released by March 2, 2026.

This delay is required by the Internal Revenue Service and does not mean there is a problem with your tax return.
