🌿 Spiritual Business Owners, This One Is For You…

If you’re a spiritual business owner who believes in intention, manifestation, prayer, energy, or simply putting your goals into the universe, here’s a little ritual I’m going to try this month.

Write something you want to manifest or accomplish on a bay leaf, then safely burn it as a symbolic way of releasing that intention.

I’m not telling you to practice voodoo or anything extreme 😂. I’m simply sharing something interesting that I’m trying for myself.

Maybe you want to manifest:

💰 More money
👥 More clients
📈 Business growth
🎯 A specific goal
🌱 A new opportunity
💡 Finally bringing an idea to life

For me, the interesting part isn’t just burning the leaf. It’s putting the goal into words, focusing on it, and then going out and doing the work.

Because whatever you believe spiritually, your business still needs action behind it.

Set the intention. Believe in it. Work toward it. And watch your numbers. 📊

That’s where I come in with Books Adding Value. I believe you should be able to pursue your vision while also knowing exactly what’s happening with your business financially.

I’m trying this ritual myself this month.

Spiritual business owners, what would YOU write on your bay leaf? 🌿🔥

That feels much more like you talking directly to your spiritual business-owner audience, rather than making the post sound like BAV is suddenly a spiritual business.

📊 Your Business Is Making Money. But Do You Know Where It’s Going?

Running a business means you’re already dealing with customers, employees, vendors, supplies, bills, and everything else that comes with keeping the doors open.

Your bookkeeping shouldn’t be another thing weighing you down.

That’s where I come in.

At Books Adding Value, I provide monthly QuickBooks bookkeeping that keeps your financial records organized and up to date.

I handle:

✅ Recording your transactions
So your financial activity is properly captured.

✅ Categorizing your income and expenses
So you can see where your business money is actually going.

✅ Reconciling your accounts
So your QuickBooks records line up with your bank and credit-card activity.

✅ Generating your financial reports
So you can see your revenue, expenses, profit, and overall financial position.

Why does this matter?

Because revenue isn’t the same thing as profit.

You can have money coming into your business and still have no idea whether you’re actually making money after expenses.

Good bookkeeping gives you a clearer picture of what’s happening financially, helps you keep better records, and gives you information you can actually use when making business decisions.

You built the business. Let your books help you understand it.

Tuesday Tip for Service Business Owners 📊

If you clean homes, fix pipes, build, repair, or run any hands-on service business, don’t just track how much money comes in. Track what it costs you to make that money.

A few things to watch:
• Revenue vs. actual profit
• Supplies, fuel, payroll and other expenses
• Unpaid invoices
• Your most profitable jobs
• Where your money is quietly leaking

You work hard for your money. Your books should help you make that money work harder for you.

Who Do We Help?!

09/06/2026

Hey, congratulations on starting your business! 👏🏾

Trust me, that’s a bigger feat than a lot of people give you credit for.

I’ve talked to business owners for years, and one thing I always tell them is this: if you really want to know who your friends are, start a business.

You’ll sometimes find that a complete stranger will support, share, recommend, and encourage your business more than people you’ve known for years. And honestly, sometimes God works in mysterious ways. You ask Him for success and to show you the way, and He starts showing you things about your life and the people around you that you might not have noticed before.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with working for someone else. But being a business owner takes a certain level of character. You have to keep showing up, make decisions, deal with uncertainty, and keep the business moving even when things aren’t going your way.

So if you’ve recently started a business, give yourself some credit. What you’ve taken on isn’t easy.

That’s one of the reasons I enjoy bookkeeping. If I can take even a little of that weight off a business owner’s plate and help them understand their numbers, that’s valuable to me.

Congratulations again. Keep going. Your business might introduce you to people and opportunities you never expected. 📊👏🏾
