☕ Last week, we, DRDA, had the pleasure of joining the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston for Coffee and Tea with YOUR BBB.

We shared insights on filing taxes and working with the IRS. Thank you to BBB Houston, Dan Parsons, and Jennifer Salazar for hosting such a welcoming and informative morning.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the local business community and support small business owners with practical guidance.

We’re excited to welcome Stephen Mitchley as our new Chief Operating Officer at DRDA.

Stephen brings a unique leadership journey, from mechanical engineering and mining to building and scaling healthcare businesses. He was drawn to DRDA because of our noble purpose and values-driven culture, which create alignment, accountability, and community.

As COO, he will focus on operational ex*****on of strategy, building a scalable business, and developing strong leaders across the firm.

Our annual State of the Firm meeting was a meaningful moment to reflect, align, and look ahead together.

We celebrated what we’ve achieved: strong growth, impactful client work, and the continued dedication of our team that drives our success every day. We also reaffirmed our mission, culture, and “why”: to serve our clients with integrity, empower our people, and build a firm where growth is shared and purposeful.

Looking ahead, we aligned on our goals and how we’ll achieve them, through collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability. We discussed key initiatives that support our people, including our bonus program, professional development opportunities, and our volunteer hours program, reinforcing our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve.

Thank you to everyone who contributed ideas, asked thoughtful questions, and showed up fully. With a clear vision, strong culture, and an engaged team, we’re excited about what’s ahead and confident in the path forward together.

We had a great time last week at Meet the Firms at University of Houston Clear Lake!

Our team enjoyed connecting with UHCL accounting students, sharing insights about the accounting profession, and answering thoughtful questions about career paths and life in public accounting. The energy, curiosity, and professionalism from the students truly stood out.
