New post up! Or rather *VIDEOS* I put together the past years on money and life and all kinds of fun things to think about...
Fair warning though - they're pretty silly ;)
Also posted some fun Q&As at the end on my favorite nail polish color, budget for my mohawk and other random questions people have shot over to me...

I’ve been MIA on here!
Let’s just say April 2022 owned my ass, for real.
It began with me getting strep throat
Then, my husband gets it
Then, he had trouble with his health for the rest of the month
I think I barely kept everyone alive 🤪😬
But! We’re all back to super healthy and happy and I feel pretty much caught up now 😆
Thank goodness for our HSA covering the emergency expenses of medical shenanigans
Guh
Anywho
Hi! 👋
How ya doin? ☺️
I miss you guys!

In times of emergency while you’re trying to not use credit cards, call in your support team!
I know I love being there for my besties and I know they’ve helped me tremendously. I don’t think I could be where I am today without them.
💜 I’m so very grateful for them.
My friends didn’t know they were helping me through my rough financial journey with credit cards, but they were… and they did. 😊
If you’re a friend of mine in real life…
THANK YOU!
Thank you for the company.
Thank you for understanding & for sharing your knowledge with me.
Thank you for the good times.
I’ve learned a lot from everyone I’ve ever met.

I saved $830 with this car repair - it pays to bank on a skill
😉👉👉
The dealership wanted about $1,000 to replace my throttle body. In the past I’ve just charged the “emergency” repair to a credit card. Not this time.
I’m mechanically inclined and I wasn’t pressed for time so I thought to myself “I could probably do this myself. How much is the part?”
$170
Add a little sweat equity + patience + a shower and VOILA! The car is fixed!
&&& Did I mention I did this when I was 8 months prego?
🤪
I do love tinkering with my Mini Cooper 🚗
So, yea.
Have fun with saving money by challenging yourself with “Can I do this myself?” {P.S. It doesn’t have to be a car repair}

Happy Wednesday everyone 💜

Looks good, no identity theft 😅
& I think I had one inquiry which made it go down one point.
Anywho, I’m not looking to finance anything so 🤷♀️ tis still a good score if I need to finance something.
My goal, though, is to save $ for purchases instead of financing them. Doing pretty good with this goal. Haven’t touched credit cards (we have a toxic relationship 🙃) in about 4 years. Bought a house with a mortgage in the past 2 years.
I think I’m going to test something with my credit soon. I’m curious about something 🤔
Follow me + stay tuned

How often do we tell ourselves “I’ll just keep this for emergencies only”?
This thinking got me a hefty bill after funding a family member’s “emergency.”
Turns out, it wasn’t for a good cause either. 😏
“But Ashley! Emergencies!!”
I’ve “emergency-d” my way to maxed out credit cards where the minimum payments ate my paycheck alive. And then I paid off the balances only to do it all over again.
It’s stressful!
Note to self: Fund my own emergencies by saving my own $ for the unknown.
Ever since I created an emergency fund, I haven’t needed to use a credit card.
It may sound impossible to do, but it’s not. Trust me.
The day you have an emergency and you have $ set aside for emergencies, is the day you’ll know relief and peace of mind that you don’t have to make payments on this emergency.
The whole experience isn’t as traumatizing when you’re financially prepared. And, in my experience, you handle it a lot better.
😍😁

~$250/MONTH in credit card interest, that’s how much I was paying 5 years ago 😖
It gets even sadder
(Sadder? That’s a word, right?🧐)
That was on just ONE credit card
😲😧🤢
“If I just didn’t have these f’n credit cards, $250 could get me Chipotle 5 times a week for a month AND with guacamole!” 😵💫
Yes, food motivates me 😅
Also, not donating $ to the banks motivates me 😡
How much are YOU paying toward credit card interest?
Get fired up, fam.
It’s time.
Breakup with Mr Visa.
I’m proud to say I’m paying $0 in credit card interest, but not officially out of credit card debt YET.
We have paid off a LOT though AND paid off a lot of medical bills.
I can also report that I’ve not touched a credit card for 3 years 😍 .. going on 4 years now 😁
💃 🕺🏻
Hand in there. You can do it!
Stay strong. 💪
