Before you agree to a payment plan, submit an Offer in Compromise, request Currently Not Collectible status, or choose another IRS resolution, you need to know what is actually happening on the account.

That is where PHASE I INVESTIGATE™ begins.

Our Transcript Investigation & IRS Discovery reviews the available IRS account information to identify issues that may affect the direction of the case, including filing history, balances, penalties, collection activity, and other account details.

The goal is not to rush you into a resolution.

The goal is to understand the facts first, then determine what resolution actually fits your case.

Investigation before Resolution.

You get an IRS notice and see the balance.

Before you start thinking about how much you can pay, ask a different question.

Why does the IRS say you owe this amount?

Was the return filed?

Did the IRS create a Substitute for Return?

Are penalties included?

Has collection activity started?

Is there a levy or lien?

Those are the questions I look at first.

Sometimes the first step is not setting up a payment plan.

Sometimes the first step is figuring out how the balance got there.

That is why I investigate before I recommend a resolution.

If you are dealing with an IRS issue and do not know where to begin, start with the facts.

What happens when the numbers do not add up, the paperwork tells one story, and the truth tells another?

Welcome to FACTS OVER FEELINGS, a fictional Tubi-style thriller inspired by the kind of work I do every day.

Taxes. Notices. Financial problems. Hidden details. Tough decisions.

My approach has always been simple:
Investigation before resolution.

Because before you decide how to fix a tax problem, you need to understand what actually happened, what the IRS records show, and what options are really available.

And apparently, according to this movie poster, I am also driving around Phoenix at night solving financial crimes. 😂

Starring: Your Favorite Tax Mitigator
Genre: Tax thriller, suspense, and a little “please bring me the transcripts.”

Facts over feelings. Numbers tell the story.

If you filed an extension, your 2025 tax return is due by October 15, 2026. You will be assessed delinquency penalties if you file after that date.

A tax problem does not usually become easier because you waited another month to deal with it.

That unopened letter is still there.

The missing return is still missing.

The balance is still being tracked.

And if the account is already in collections, the process can continue whether you feel ready or not.

I understand why people wait. Fear, embarrassment, money problems, and plain old exhaustion can make it easier to tell yourself, “I’ll handle it later.”

But eventually, later catches up.

When someone comes to me with an IRS problem, my first job is to figure out exactly where things stand.

What has been filed?

What has been assessed?

What deadlines are approaching?

Has collection activity started?

What needs immediate attention?

Then we build the strategy from the facts.

You do not have to solve the whole problem before asking for help.

You just have to decide that today is better than another six months of wondering.

How long have you been saying, “I'll deal with the IRS later”?

Three months?

A year?

Three years?

At some point, later has to become today.

You may be embarrassed.

You may be afraid of what we are going to find.

Money may already be tight.

You may have convinced yourself that because nothing happened this week, you still have time.

I understand why taxpayers think that way.

But IRS collection problems tend to become more complicated when they are ignored.

You do not have to know the solution before contacting my office.

That is why we investigate.

We determine where you stand, what requires attention, and what options may be available based on your actual circumstances.

If you are ready to stop wondering and start dealing with it, schedule your Strategy & Case Review Consultation.
