Refunds has decreased and went back to normal for this tax season. Covid credits such as stimulus and dependent care credit are gone. Please do not expect such a large refund as the prior 2 years. We prefer to do things the correct way, so You will not end up owing the IRS. Child tax credit has decreased to $2000, filing year 2021 it was 3600. This year you can file up to three dependents and get a full credit after the third child the credit will decrease, where last year you can file as many Dependents And get the full credit.
