📅 The IRS extension deadline for 1040 individual filings is October 15, 2026.

Don't let the clock run out! While an extension gives you more time to file, it doesn't grant more time to pay any taxes owed. If you have questions about your specific filing or need to ensure your documentation is IRS-compliant, Edwards Tax Services is here to help.

Avoid the last-minute rush and the misinformation out there—get your filing done right.

Change is upon us.

In an ever-evolving world of technology, AI & more, along with the many “TikTok Tax Advisors” out there constantly putting ideas in people’s heads without fully explaining things on how the IRS constitutes proper ways to go about certain strategies, there just seems to never be enough time to debunk & educate on EVERY single thing HUNDREDS of clients bring to me on a daily/weekly basis.

In the coming weeks, I will be rolling out a website, along with a monthly newsletter & potentially a weekly &/or daily tax tip blip e-mail for my clients.

Stay tuned & keep an eye out for updates!

Just an FYI as if things aren’t already hectic enough.

PLEASE reach out if you receive a notice before taking any actions so you don’t end up a victim!

Accounting firms are seeing an increase in scams involving the notices the IRS is sending to taxpayers when they don't provide their direct deposit information.

A date has been put forth.

Assuming no hiccups, e-filing resumes & the 2025 tax year filings begins.

I will be reaching out for appointments after the 18th, as I still have many 1099’s getting information to me, which are due 1/31 & will hold a bit of priority, as will S-Corp & Partnerships due 3/15.

If you want to reach out before hand to schedule something, feel free to call/text (319) 427-0226

Happy Tax Season 😎
