The IRS announced today that it is postponing the deadline for all individual tax returns. Returns otherwise due April 15 will not have to be filed until May 17 this year. The IRS says it will issue formal guidance in the near future >> https://bit.ly/38UlDw6

2nd Round of the Paycheck Protection Program is in full swing. If you have a 25% reduction in your gross receipts from 2019 to 2020 you will qualify. This means you would show your revenue went down in 2020. Whether this is your first or second round it is worth putting in your application now!! STIMULUS CHECKS are being disbursed!! You can expect $600 per individual or $1200 for married filing joint. Also, qualifying children (16 or younger) should get $600 each.

Keep in mind that stimulus payments are based on your 2019 income. The simple answer is if you make less than $75,000 as an individual or $150,000 as a couple, you'll receive the full $600 payment.

Paycheck Protection Program opens up again in January-possibly mid month. Regardless, some vendors are opening up their applications to be ready as the funds will run out. Lendio appears to be taking applications now. The criteria is described below:

Divide gross receipts up into quarters. Compare last year and this year to see if there was at least a 25% decline this year over last year for any of the quarters. Please see the wording below:

1. Had gross receipts during the first, second, third, or, only with respect to an application submitted on or after January 1, 2021, fourth quarter in 2020 that demonstrate not less than a 25 percent reduction from the gross receipts of the entity during the same quarter in 2019.
