Now turn that I into โ€œYouโ€

1. You stopped just surviving and started building real systems.
You created multiple streams of income instead of depending on one paycheck or one opportunity.

2. You became more disciplined with your self care
You stopped saying โ€œ Yesโ€ to every opportunity, set boundaries and become serious about your health because self-care isnโ€™t just a spa day with a mani and padi itโ€™s protecting your mental health and physical health

3. You invested in learning instead of staying comfortable.
From financial literacy to marketing to leadership, you kept educating yourself instead of making excuses.

4. You started protecting your peace and your energy.
You became more selective with people, conversations, and environments that drain you or distract you from your goals.

5. You turned your struggles into purpose.
Instead of letting motherhood, pressure, or hard seasons break you, you used your story to help and motivate other women.

6. You stopped waiting to feel ready.
You showed up scared, tired, overwhelmed, and busy โ€” but you still showed up anyway. Thatโ€™s growth.

Did you know the first Memorial Day was organized by freed Black Americans in 1865?
In Charleston, South Carolina, over

10,000 newly freed men, women, and children gathered to honor Union soldiers who fought and died for their freedom. They cleaned up burial grounds, held a parade, sang hymns, and gave thanks in what became the first large-scale Memorial Day observance.

This powerful piece of Black history reminds us that freedom has always had defendersโ€”and the roots of Memorial Day are deeply tied to the Black American story.

Letโ€™s honor the legacy. Letโ€™s tell the truth.
