Beginning with Biddy Mason, the slave who successfully sued for her freedom, and went on to become a real estate magnate and church founder, we look at women who smashed stereotypes and glass ceilings. These women did the improbable and served as shining examples of what one can accomplish despite entrenched resistance. They had charm, grace and guts. We will also discuss the caustic, cosmetic conflict between Helena Rubenstein and Elizabeth Arden.
