So I ran the numbers for the 5 states that placed COVID-19 patients into nursing homes in NY, NJ, PA, CA and MI. The total deaths for these 5 states out of 70,183 cases was 15,096 deaths that occurred in the nursing homes. That is 21.51% deaths in nursing homes from COVID 19. According to CDC as of today there has been a total of 140,157 deaths in the US out of 3,761,362 cases which is 3.72%. Out of the 3.72%, 1.08% occurred in the above mentioned states.
