Tomorrow is the day! Over the past several months, I’ve worked to co-author a book with some of America’s brightest tax minds on how to legally reduce your biggest expense, TAXES! Covid really slowed the process down, but the book will be live on Amazon tomorrow! 20% of all procceds will be donated to the to help educate other entrepreneurs!
Writing has been fun and I haven’t done but I think I’ll stick to the day job 😉

Great night networking with some of Boston’s best including and hearing inspiring stories from leaders as to how they built their careers and businesses through their networks. Always fun to reconnect with and reminisce of the old days as an intern with him at where he gave me a chance to get my own career in business started years ago!

Entrepreneurs! Want to lower your audit risk? The statistics show there are a few things you can do do avoid being one of the 1.1M audited:
1) Incorporate your business as an S corp or Partnership. Schedule C sole proprietors have been identified by the IRS as an audit risk and had a higher audit % in 2017, especially those with LESS than $100k of taxable income
2) Keep a mileage log or calendar. Auditors hate the mileage deduction and will throw it out without backup!
3) Open a business bank account! If an auditor sees deposits going straight to your personal account, you just opened up your life to examination!
If you get a dreaded examination letter, don’t panic and contact a professional to help you understand your options!

Year End: the time when most entrepreneurs, startups and growth mindsetted individuals set 2019 budgets and short term financial goals.
However, I think its just as important to set 3, 5 and 10 year LONG TERM financial and nonfinancial goals. Tony Robbins once said that we acheive far more in the long term than we think we can and generally acheive less in one day or week than we set out to. Think about it!
- WRITE DOWN and set ambitious, lofty and seemingly unacheivable and crazy 3, 5, and 10 year goals. Maybe you triple your business or have an exit! Shoot for the 🌔
- WRITE DOWN measurable yet realistic short term goals. I bet you will have accomplished more on 12/31/19 than you set out to!
This strategy has certainly worked for me and countless other entrepreneurs. Give it a try!

Clients are constantly asking for new opportunities...to eliminate taxes. Recently I’ve been strategizing using the BIGGEST kept secret of Tax Reform, ‘Qualified Opportunity Zones’. In essence, you can take that taxable gain on stock, your home or business interest, reinvest it in a Zone fund, grow your investment and potentially eliminate or defer the tax!
Startups can also creatively structure their business in ways that would allow the gain on sale of their business to be tax free...but you need to act on this NOW to get the best benefits!
