God's commands challenge what we think is beneficial.

And His promises challenge what we think is possible.

And Jesus made a way for us to obey every command and believe every promise!

Please don’t hide. We need you. When you’re quiet we can’t hear what God was trying to say when He made you. When you’re invisible we can’t see what God was trying to show us when He formed you.
Please don’t hide!

Even on your darkest day God still loves you. So have hope and keep moving forward. You are of infinite value and worth to Him! He proved it with His very own life on the cross.

I think one of the most effective lies of the enemy is that God the Father is far removed from us. See, Jesus came to save us. And the Holy Spirit came to fill us. So if we’re not careful we can hear the serpent whisper “Why hasn’t your father come? Where is He?” 🤷‍♂️ But anytime I struggle with this I remember Jesus on the cross saying “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” 🥀

I remember that there has only ever been one person forsaken by God, and it was Jesus. That temporary but necessary rejection of His Son, so that we could be eternally accepted. What pain did the Father experience to get us back? We will never know. 💔

I pick up my son and feel love so strong that I cannot even find words for it! And I remember that I am not a better father than God. I could never love my son more than He loves me. There is someone who created me to be a proud father, and it was my proud Father. 👶

The kindness of Jesus, the whispers of the Holy Spirit, are His whispers and His kindness. There is nothing true about Jesus that is not true about our Father. Jesus tells us that He only did what the Father told Him to do. In other words “If you like what you see here, blame it on the Father!” 🙋‍♂️ I remember how good He is when I read Ephesians Chapter One. “Blessed be the God and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in LOVE: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good PLEASURE of his WILL.” 🔥

It has always been His idea. His heart. His love. His obsession. He is near you. And if you are Christian, He is filling your innermost man through His Spirit. ❤️ And He’s proud of you! 🏆 07/15/2019

An excerpt from my book:

“Our mind will come up with a thousand reasons not to honor God. And most of them are perfectly rational. Like “I can’t tell that person the truth, it will hurt them!” or “I don’t need to need to pay my taxes, the government will just misuse my money!” These justifications maybe true, but no matter how much we wiggle and dance around the issue, God’s truth is still there, unchanged. “Thou shall not lie. Thou shall not steal.”
We know deep down that His way is best, but our sinful nature wants it’s own way. We build up mental defenses against God. The two most effective ones being busyness and noise. So we buzz around with the music cranked and a phone in our face. We fill every space, terrified of the silence.
But inevitably our vigilance wanes and His patient pursuit wins over. We find ourself in a still moment; and before we know it He begins to speak. Maybe not in sentences, but in a little prick of the conscience or a rush of unexpected joy. It is our God breaking through our defenses and getting our attention. We were made to be in relationship with Him. We are dying when we are disconnected from Him. So in His mercy He never stops pursuing us. This is a matter of life and death for us, so He will use whatever He has to use to get our attention.”

The way has been opened through Christ. The stone has been rolled away. The ladder to the heavens that Jacob saw is now a permanent fixture, and we’ve been invited up. Jesus has made the way, broken through the stone that trapped us in death. So why do we stay in the cave? Often times, bo***ge feels like a safe and secure place in an uncertain world. And it may be safe in there for years. But one day the floods will come. And we will find out that it was never really safe at all. The only safe place is freedom. In the big open spaces of God’s love. He is calling your name. Step out and look up. He has made a way, and He will carry you.
