Sharing this update to help our clients and colleagues stay informed and prepared as federal systems and requirements continue to evolve.

𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘀 & 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗔𝗠.𝗴𝗼𝘃 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
As part of the ongoing effort to modernize federal award systems, 𝗚𝗦𝗔 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗔𝗥 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 & 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘀 & 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀) 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗔𝗠.𝗴𝗼𝘃 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

This initiative supports:
• 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀
• 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀
• 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗔𝗥 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗹

It will also improve the user experience by 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘀 & 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀?
Reps & Certs are 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 required in SAM.gov to establish eligibility for federal awards such as contracts, grants, and loans.

• 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Statements of fact about your entity
(size, structure, ownership, socioeconomic status)
• 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Formal assurances of compliance
(labor laws, debarment status, and other federal requirements)

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴?

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
• The 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 will be a separate module from the Offer-Level FAR Response
• Only entities working with 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 contracts will complete this section
• Entity-level questions will be 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 into existing registration areas

𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆
• Questions will use 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 titles instead of numbering
• Responses will be displayed 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 from full provision text

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
• Supports 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀
• Creates a more 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 and consistent user experience

I can’t believe it’s been 6 whole years already! I guess we’re just having too much fun crunching numbers. 😉
