The child tax credit and the child and dependent care tax credit have been reduced for 2022. While both tax credits received a temporary boost through the American Rescue Plan of 2021, the enhanced tax breaks were not extended to this year.

10% of your total credit score is based on how much new credit you apply for. This aspect of your credit score is based on your inquiries on your report. If you have a lot of inquiries in a short period of time, your credit scores will decrease. For example if you go out next week and apply for a Capital One credit card, your credit scores might decrease one point on an 850 point scale. But if you apply for seven credit cards next week, your scores might drop 20 points due to applying for too much.

LEGAL LIABILITY VS. CREDIT REPORTING
Credit repair will NOT remove your legal liability for your debts. Even if you do delete your negative credit items from your credit report, you will still legally owe that debt(Unless the Creditor Dismisses the debt). However, If you pay off the debt or collection, the damage will still remain on the credit report. DEBT OWED and CREDIT REPORTED are two completely separate elements. Either way, cleaning up and correcting your credit file is essential for looking reputable in the eyes of future lenders.

Why dispute personal information?
If you identify an error on your credit reports, it's crucial to dispute it immediately and that includes your personal information.
Down the line, negative or incorrect identity-related information — like a misspelled name, wrong address or transposed Social Security number digits — can affect your ability to get credit cards, loans, insurance and even a job.
Start by Removing any old phone numbers, addresses, name variations, and social security number is applicable.
Always attach proof of address and a valid Government issued ID.
This letter goes to the credit Bureaus only.
