Tanzanian Students For Liberty (TSFL) is an organization dedicated to teaching the principles of liberty and free markets to young people in Tanzania.
VISION
To become the go-to resource center for students dedicated to liberty and to help them with anything they need, with the goal of creating a national movement for liberty that will change Tanzania. MISSION
To provide a unified, student-driven forum of support for students and student organizations dedicated to liberty:
Unified i.e. focus on the 95% that students dedicated to liberty have i
n common, rather the 5% difference. Student-driven forum of support i.e. students are the driving force behind what we are doing. For students and students organizations i.e. placing a priority on building up students groups as forums of liberty on campus, but at the same time working with individual students who we think have the potential to advance liberty. Dedicated to liberty i.e. TSFL supports liberty, however it does not dictate the foundations upon which individuals justify their belief in liberty. Rather, TSFL embraces the diversity of justifications for liberty and encourages debate and discourse on the differing philosophies that underlie liberty. What TSFL endorses are the principles that comprise liberty i.e.
1. Economic liberty, freedom to choose how to provide for one's life;
2. Social liberty, freedom to choose how to live one's life; and
3. Intellectual liberty, freedom from censorship. OBJECTIVES
1. Recruiting students from colleges and universities in Tanzania, by introducing them to the ideas of a free society and provide them with necessary resources which will make them aware of libertarian principles, namely economic freedom, social freedom and intellectual freedom.
2. Creating students groups, especially within campuses in various higher learning institutions in Tanzania to act as catalyst for the spread of such ideas for a free society among Tanzanian students.
3. Holding events, such as speakers’ events, seminars, conferences, leadership forums, etc via cooperation with existing and future pro-liberty students’ organizations.
