Landlord Business Surcharge Registration Deadline Extended to June 30th, 2026 Following Public Engagement

Minister of Finance, The Honourable Davendranath Tancoo, MP, said the extension follows engagement with stakeholders and members of the public, and is intended to give landlords additional time to organise documents, complete registration and avoid penalties.

“This extension strengthens the implementation, while ensuring that the rental sector is better regulated and positioned for further growth.” - Minister Tancoo

Non-exempt landlords are encouraged to use the extended period to regularise their position and become compliant.

The Minister of Finance, Honourable Colm Imbert, MP, wishes to advise that the Tax Amnesty and National Insurance Amnesty introduced by the Finance Act 2024, which expired on December 31, 2024, will be extended to January 31, 2025.
The extended Tax Amnesty also covers penalties and interest for unpaid Property Taxes for 2024, which are now due and payable on or before January 31, 2025.
