Our journey to Thailand is going well so far. We have started a hotel business here. Our family is now staying in Hua Hin as schooling is much suited for our children who spent time in Canada school for years. Let’s hope that the business and family will continue to grow:)

At the moment, I have been working toward my goal, in which I would like to start a community called a Thai-Canada Expat. Thailand is going to be my base, for that where my heart is telling me to move there. I am not able to move there right away, but my goal is about 3 years from now. This year, our family will go back to visit and see if we can see ourselves living there. My land of 5.5 Rai will be built for many expats who want to stay short or long term in Prachuap khirikan province. Our land has an ocean view and is very close to a train station and a short walk to the beach. To go to town is a very quick drive of 10 minutes and half an hour to Huahin town. Please follow me for some pictures and videos in the near future. My dream is to build something like the one I shared below. Many Dreams!!!

What is the best choice variable or fix interest rate? I wanted to share this article. It said that the fix rate is over 2.5% but the variable is below 1.4%. I remembered since I have a mortgage, the variable is always the cheapest. I had 10 years variable rate at all time until last year I decided to go with 1.8% fixed rate for 5 years. Today Canada news said variable is below 1.5% which is prime minus aboyt 1.2-1.5%.

Everyone who is thinking buy a real estate here, variable rate is the best.
