What's snacking!
Snacks can be a delicious way of introducing new flavours and textures to your little bub!
Besides fruits, some of my favourite snacks are puffs / yoghurt melts; Wakado baby snacks and .sg snacks which can be found easily at NTUC or Cold Storage.
Other interesting options includes .blossomco rice puffs and the wonderful selection of Korean snacks from .
What snacks have you tried that your little bub can't get enough of?

If you haven’t started your baby on solids, fret not! Different babies are ready for solids at their own pace. At this moment, babies are still able to get sufficient nutrients thru their milk feeds.
Remember, test one new item at a time for 3 - 4 days before trying a new item so it’s easier to pinpoint which item your baby is allergic to.
Whether you choose baby led weaning, spoon fed weaning or even a mixture of both; enjoy a clean, fuss free experience with and .sg Hungy Baby Kit! Less mess to clean = more time to enjoy watching your lil bub explore new food, taste and textures 😊

Singaporean children are fortunate to have basic MediShield Life upon birth. However, does that mean they don’t require other insurance?
What are some benefits of purchasing additional coverage?
Insurance can help cover financial loss if a child is unfortunately diagnosed with a serious illness such as cancer. This would usually result in one parent becoming a full time caregiver. In this climate where many families are on dual income arrangement, the potential loss of income can be covered by insurance.
Lock up your child’s health status by ensuring coverage if they’re born healthy and without any congenital disorders. As your child get older, there might be a need for additional premiums, exclusions or even rejections if your child develops a condition as they grow older.
Another benefit or starting early is having lower premiums due to your child’s age. As plans have evolved and now have limited payment term options and the possibility of fully funding the policy before your child starts working, it’s one of the best gift you can give as parents.
In the event there’s a few remaining years of premium, it’s an easier plan for your child to take over.
If you’re planning to place your child in infant care/ playgroup, Accident policies will be especially helpful in case of HFMD or gastrointestinal disease.
Lastly, plan for your child’s education and potentially your retirement with endowment policies or ILP.

Dear fellow parents, you’re doing a fantastic job!
Don’t compare with others and just busk in the moment. Your child is growing at their own pace and need your love and guidance as they become their own person.
Take comfort that your love will allow your child to bloom to their best ability.

There’s so many more activities to do with your baby besides just tummy time.
Consider using apps like Kinedu or Babysparks for daily activities for your lil bub.

It’s the start of Foodie Friday and what better way than to introduce our lil bubs to their first solids!
Pediatricians generally recommend to start solids at 6 months but you can start as early as 4 months.
Some guidelines to follow:
- Baby is able to sit unassisted
- Baby should have lost ‘tongue thrust’ reflex (the natural instinct to push everything out of his mouth)
- An increase in appetite, baby seems dissatisfied after milk feeds
- An increased interest in watching YOU eat 😊
Enjoy a fuss free, low mess experience with your BLW tray from and never worry about another stained clothes item with your clothes subscription from .sg
Feel free to share your baby’s first experience with food and be prepared for a whole lot of mess!

We all want the best for our child, so what can we do to help them achieve their dreams?
Do you know what your child wants to pursue when they grow up?
When they put their best foot forward towards their dream, are you with them?
Is it possible to at least achieve sufficient funds to allow them to attend a local University in 18 years by just giving up a cup of bubble tea or Starbucks coffee a day?

Prebiotics and probiotics has been found to both support the body in building and maintaining and healthy colony of bacteria and other microorganisms which supports gut and aids digestion.
Although research on effects are inconclusive, it is suggested that probiotics may be beneficial in the following areas:
- Improvement of digestive and gastrointestinal health
- May improve mental health by alleviating symptoms of depression
- May improve general health and build immunity
Benefits of prebiotics have been linked to benefits of probiotics. Prebiotics May support a healthy gut, offering better digestive health, fewer antibiotic- related health problems, and other benefits.
Consider adding yoghurt to your child’s diet or include probiotics supplements.
Personally I’ve been using DNA Miracles Probiotics Extra as I prefer the powder form and it contains both prebiotics and probiotics. Previous experience with BioGaia drops had been frustrating as it ended up getting stuck quite a few times.

Did you know that there’s a correct technique to use your baby carrier? Often I see parents using their carriers wrongly and often baby looks uncomfortable due to the position. Many times I wanted to just step up and share with them how it can corrected but is worried the advice may not be appreciated.
Would you approach the parents?
My husband was not a believer of baby carrier as his sister did not use one. It took quite a bit of convincing before he purchased a 2nd hand carrier from Carousell but little did we know that it wasn’t suitable for us in terms of fit and comfort.
The first time we used the carrier to bring baby out, I had such a tough time getting baby into the baby insert, the Velcro was so tough to use, I couldn’t understand how I would be able to carry baby when she’s older when as a newborn she was breaking my back.
During my maternity leave, I was desperate to get another carrier to carry baby while doing chores, move around the house as she couldn’t stop crying when left alone and I couldn’t just keep sitting next to her the whole day. I ended up just buying a sling carrier out at the mall one day thinking it might be easier to move baby in and out of the carrier if she’s asleep but I had so much trouble getting used to the sling even after watching the tutorial online numerous times.
I also tried getting the Konny carrier but the trouble was not being able to get the sizing right. The normal range M size was too tight so I ended up getting L for summer version but it ended up being too loose and somehow the material was too smooth and I occasionally risked having the cloth bunch up suddenly. (Of course it’s probably due to my lack of skills to use it correctly 😅)
I was getting desperate when we were planning to go for a trip when my friend suggested . A visit to her was god sent to me as she was able to guide me on the proper way as well as provided some options for me to try on. As I had baby with me, it made it a lot easier to gauge if the carrier was easy enough to use on my own and the guidance to move baby from front carrier to the back was so less daunting.

How often do we feel invigorated when we hear our child’s laughter?
Every single time 🥰
Every morning I’m woken up with a hug, my toddler climbing onto me and more hugs and kisses. And when I hug and kiss her back, her innocent laughter just melts my heart.
Hang in there parents, our lil bubs don’t need much except for our love and affections. Some days things may get rough but start with trying to make your lil bub laugh and your day will definitely get much better 😊
Always remember there’s no right or wrong parenting style. Happy parents = Happy child!
