📢 𝗙𝗯𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗗𝗲-𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 – 𝗦𝗧𝗚𝗢 𝟬𝟰 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a new Sales Tax General Order regarding de-registration under:

🔹 Section 21 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990
🔹 Rule 11 of the Sales Tax Rules, 2006

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

✅ Online system now mandatory
All sales tax de-registration applications must now be submitted only through the computerized system.

🚫 Manual applications discontinued
Commissioner-IR will no longer accept manually submitted applications.

📌 Pending manual cases
All pending manual applications are to be processed through the online portal.

This is a welcome step toward increased digitization, transparency, and procedural reform in Pakistan's tax framework.
