MG Pakistan introduces yet another enhanced version of its crossover SUV, the MG HS. Since its initial launch, this vehicle has captivated the local market, sparking discussions across town.

Initially offering Essence and Hybrid variants, the company now presents the latest addition: the MG HS 2.0 Turbo All Wheel Drive (AWD).

At the car's launch, the company declared, "Unleash the Power with the MG HS 2.0 Turbo, the fastest CSUV in its segment." This new crossover SUV boasts an elevated level of power and performance, featuring 226 horsepower and 360Nm of torque—a formidable force on the road, as highlighted by the company.

In an official statement, the company emphasized, "With its robust engine and turbocharged capabilities, the MG HS 2.0 Turbo effortlessly accelerates, outpacing its competitors. Whether maneuvering through city streets or cruising on the highway, drivers will experience the exhilarating power of this vehicle with every twist of the throttle."

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has once again surpassed tech mogul Elon Musk to reclaim the title of the world's second-richest person, following a surge in stocks.

Bezos' fortune has reached $202.4 billion after a $5.4 billion increase in stock value. Meanwhile, Musk's wealth has risen to $197.7 billion, with a $11 million increase.

In April, Musk briefly overtook Bezos as the second wealthiest individual after a successful visit to China, where key regulatory hurdles for his self-driving software were cleared. However, he has now slipped back to third place.

Bezos is now only $4.5 billion shy of becoming the richest person on the planet.

The two billionaires have been engaged in a fluctuating battle for the second spot in the global wealth rankings for several months, exchanging positions at least 13 times last month.

Previously, Musk predominantly held the position until March, but challenges such as layoffs and reduced Tesla sales have posed obstacles to maintaining his ranking.

Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, has a fascinating history that traces back to its origins as a small fishing village called Kolachi. Situated on the Arabian Sea coast, The majority of the residents in Kolachi village were Sindhi people. Kolachi was a modest settlement inhabited by fishermen and their families.

In the early 18th century, around 1729, the village of Kolachi came under the control of the Talpur Mirs, a local Sindhi dynasty. Recognizing the potential of the area, the Talpurs decided to develop the village and transform it into a more significant settlement. They renamed it Karachi and initiated various developmental projects.

Under the Talpurs' rule, Karachi's port was fortified and expanded to facilitate trade and maritime activities. The strategic location of the port on the Arabian Sea made it a favorable destination for merchants and traders from different regions. Karachi started attracting merchants from the Arabian Peninsula, Gujarat, Iran, oman, and other parts of the Indian subcontinent.
The British East India Company gained control of Karachi in the 19th century and developed it further as a major port city. The British made significant investments in infrastructure, including the construction of railways, which further boosted Karachi's importance as a trading hub.

After the partition of India in 1947, Karachi became a part of Pakistan. Today, Karachi is a bustling metropolis with a diverse population, vibrant markets, and a prominent seaport. It remains an essential economic hub, housing various industries, financial institutions, and multinational corporations. Karachi's transformation from a small fishing village to a major city is a testament to its historical significance and the vision of the Talpur rulers who established it in 1729.

President Asif Ali Zardari chaired a high-level law and order meeting at CM House in Karachi on Wednesday, directing Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to launch an extensive operation against street criminals in Karachi, dacoits in the Kacha area, and drug traffickers across the province, in coordination with other regions.

In a fresh twist in the cipher case, the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday observed that the Federal Investigation Age­ncy (FIA) has nothing on record to prove against former prime minister Imran Khan in Cipher Case.

The Court observed that FIA had nothing to prove that Imran Khan had the diplomatic cable, i.e the cipher in his possession.
