As a Financial Advisor, ang standard na lagi kong nirerecommend is at least 6x ng monthly income ang emergency fund.

Ano ang considered na emergency?

• Biglaang hospital bills
• Emergency repairs sa bahay o sasakyan
• Business slowdown
• O kaya… mawalan ng trabaho.

Imagine mawalan ka ng work today.

Kung may 6 months kang emergency fund, hindi ka basta-basta mai-stress. Habang naghahanap ka ng bagong work o source of income, may pambayad ka pa rin sa rent, utilities, groceries, at iba pang bills.

Sharing some random photos because I’m excited to go back there soon. It’ll be my 9th visit, but di yata talaga ako magsasawa. 🤍

I remember one funny experience. A Grab driver asked my partner, “Where are you from, sir?”

When my partner said, “South Africa,” the driver immediately replied, “Ah… Tarzan!” 😂

I think that’s how some people picture South Africa.

Pero contrary to common perception, di siya jungle. 😊 Yes, sobrang ganda ng nature and wildlife, but they also have beautiful homes, modern cities, amazing vineyards, and breathtaking views.

Marami ring White, Black, Brown, and Indian South Africans. It’s such a diverse and beautiful country.

Looking back at my 8 years as a Financial Advisor, ang sarap sa puso na makitang marami tayong natulungang employees and OFWs. Not just by getting them insured, but by helping them build their emergency funds and start investing through mutual funds.
