Isa sa pinaka-matingkad na dahilan kung bakit maraming Pilipino ang ayaw sa life insurance ay dahil sa nagyari sa CAP at ibang pre-need companies pagkatapos ng Asian Financial Crisis nung 2008.Hindi ko sila masisisi. Maraming tumaob. Maraming nagsara. Sa totoo nga, sa mahigit 200 na pre-need companies na meron nuon, 20 na lang ang in-operation pa rin hanggang ngayon.

Kung ang dahilan kung bakit ka walang life insurance ay dahil takot kang masayang ang pera mo at mauwi sa wala ang investment mo, lilinawin ko lang ulit, magkaiba ang life insurance company sa pre-need company. Hindi life insurance ang pre-need plan.

At higit sa lahat, WALA, KAHIT ISANG LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY sa Pilipinas ang nag-sara, tumaob or na-bankrupt. Mas marami pang bangko ang nag-sara na kesa sa life insurance companies.

Merong ngang mga life insurance companies na in operation na sa Pilipinas bago mag-1898. Ibig sabihin, mas matanda pa sila sa Republika ng Pilipinas at nasubok na ng rebolusyon, World War II, Martial Law at mga kudeta. Pero nandyan pa rin. Isa na dito ay ang SUN LIFE FINANCIAL proven track record at #1 Insurer in the Philippines.

Again, Wala pa pong nagsasarang life insurance companies sa pilipinas. Insurance commission, the one governing all insurance companies in the Philippines, requires an amount of money (from all insurance companies) as reserve fund. This fund is used in case of massive death in the Phillpines. Actually may mandate din ang insurance company na kapag may tendencies na mabankrupt or malugi ang isang life insurance company, it needs to be acquired by a larger insurance company. Kaya walang nagsasarang insurance companies, panay acquisitions lang.

Financial Advisor: So Imagine ito ung mahiwagang pantalon at my dalawang bulsa yan. Let's say monthly nagtatabi ka ng 5k sa kaliwang bulsa, ngayon hinati mo 3k sa kaliwang bulsa tapos 2k sa kanang bulsa. May nawala ba sa iyo?
Client: Wala po.

Financial Advisor: Tama, wala dahil parehong bulsa mo yan di ba? Ang 3k mo iwan natin sa kaliwang bulsa tapos ang 2k mo ilagay natin sa VUL. Now, you have 3k per month sa iyong savings and ang 2k per month is valued at 1 million face amount.
