We say it when we don’t know what tomorrow will bring.

And yes, hope is important.
We hope we stay healthy.

Hindi ko inakala na mararanasan kong magkasakit in my late 30s.

Hindi naman kasi ako sakitin simula nung bata ako. Kaya hindi ko inaasahan na biglang cancer agad yun sakit na darating saken.

Bilang isang single mother at breadwinner, napakahirap na sitwasyon ang naranasan ko noon dahil kinailangan ko din huminto sa pagtatrabaho para magpagaling.

Hindi lang kasi yun physical ang naging struggle ko after my surgery, matindi din talaga ang dinaanan kong hirap, lalo na emotionally.😔

Andon yun takot na mawala ako agad ng maaga, or yun hindi na ako makapag provide para sa aking pamilya.

Kaya hindi talaga natin masasabi kung ano ang pwedeng mangyari saten bukas pero buti na lang nakarecover ako and today, I am cancer-free. 🙏🥹💛

Pero may isang bagay na masasabi kong talagang naging malaking tulong sa journey ko na sana ay makatulong din sa mas maraming tao.🙏

Yun ay naging HANDA ako.💛

Kaya ngayon I am sharing my story dahil naranasan ko mismo ang bigat ng pakiramdam na may matinding sakit at nawalan ng kakayahan magtrabaho.

Mas lalong mahirap magpagaling kung madaming iisipin na gastos at makikita mong nasa mahirap na sitwasyon ang buong pamilya mo dahil sayo. 😔

Kaya imbes na "Bakit ako?".. nasabi ko talaga noon na "Thank you Lord, buti na lang ako." dahil sa aming pamilya, ako ang palaging may HMO at may complete insurance coverage dahil hindi lang sarili ko ang iniisip ko, iniisip ko din ang pamilya ko na siguradong apektado.

Kaya naman sobrang pasasalamat ko kay Lord na nalampasan ko na ang pagsubok na ito at naging lesson din sa buong pamilya at mga kaibigan ko na ngayon ay pinili na din magplano at maghanda.
