Financial literacy took a bright leap forward under former President Fidel V. Ramos.
He signed Proclamation 1059 declaring the first week of October of every year as “Life Insurance Consciousness Week.” The document highlighted “services and benefits for financial protection” and how “the life insurance industry is a major contributor to the social and economic development” of the country.
As a formative political figure, President Ramos was also instrumental in Sun Life’s decision to stay and thrive in the Philippines. He was the one who reminded the company to believe in the Filipino spirit – a mutual exchange of trust that created a lifetime partnership spanning renewal, reinventions, and revolutions.
Thank you for sharing your light to Sun Life, the life insurance industry, and financial security for Filipino families. Rest in peace, FVR.

"DI KO NAMAN KAILANGAN NG INSURANCE"
Just because you don't appreciate it today,
doesn't mean you won't tomorrow. It's easy to take insurance for granted until something happens.
Act Now. The future is unsure.

‼️REMINDER‼️
I was on the phone with one of my client's mom. Client passed away at 28 y/o. It was heart breaking to tell her that the client opted not to continue with his policy anymore and it has already lapsed since 2020.
Coverage was supposed to be 2.6M. Client's mom said if she had known, she would be the one to encourage her son about it.
But no one knew this will happen, no one will.
This is one of the many reasons why we, as Financial Advisors are really keen in reminding our clients to PLEASE NOT FORGET why they got their policies and not let it lapse. Life Insurance cannot prevent death, but it can make sure your loved ones can go on living the dream you have for them.

Hindi lahat insurable.
>>May napo postponed.
(Meaning after 6 months pwede mo uli i-try mag apply, baka healthy ka na non)🙂
>>May ndedeclined!
(Meaning no chance at all na mag apply ng Insurance)😔
Be insure, while you are healthy.

“HINDI KO PA KAYA KUMUHA NG INSURANCE, MALIIT LANG SWELDO KO EH.”
Personally, I believe this. Kapag maliit talaga sahod mo, hindi naman talaga insurance ang priority mo. Mostly ang priority mo ay maka-survive sa sahod na meron ka.
But why do people say this immediately? Kasi most people assume na mahal ang insurance.
📌 The thing is, it’s not expensive. Sa totoo lang. Your life insurance can be customized based on your needs and can be adjusted based on your budget.
📌 Your trusted financial advisor can help you with that. They can help you compute how much benefits you need based on your current priorities, the you can move forward from there regarding your concerns on the amount. 🙂
Depende lang talaga yan kung saan mo ilalagay ang pera mo. That's how you will know what's important to you.
