Nagpapasalamat ang BIR sa pagsusumite ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ng labing-walo (18) criminal information sa Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) laban sa dalawang negosyong sangkot sa paggamit ng ghost receipts at mga corporate officers nito.

Noong April 10, 2025 ay isinumite ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ang mga kaso ng E.D. Buenviaje Builders, Inc. (E.D. Buenviaje), Synergy Sales International Corporation (SSIC), at ang mga kinatawan nito na sangkot sa iba’t-ibang paglabag ng mga sumusunod na bahagi ng National Internal Revenue Code (NIRC):

Sections 254 (Attempt to Evade or Defeat Tax) at 255 (Failure to Supply Correct and Accurate Information)

Ang mga kasong ito ay mula sa mga hinaing na ipinasa ng BIR noong November 23, 2023. Lumabas sa imbestigasyon ng BIR na gumagamit ang mga kompanyang ito mula sa dalawang ghost corporations na Buildforce Trading, Inc. and Decarich Supertrade, Inc. Ang mga kumpanyang ito ay walang totoong negosyo at ginawa para lamang sa pagtitinda ng mga ghost receipts.Ginamit ng E.D. Buenviaje at ng SSIC ang mga resibong ito para bawasan ang kanilang buwis.

Para sa DOJ, sapat ang ebidensya ng mga kasong ito at tiyak na makakasuhan ang mga sumusunod:

Mula sa SSIC: Arthur See at Betty Lim
Nasa Php 73,327,789.20 ang civil liabilities ng mga kasong ito, bukod pa rito ang mga multa at iba pang bayarin.

Ang mga kasong ito ay bahagi ng malawakang laban ng pamahalaan kontra ghost receipts. Una nang kinasuhan ng DOJ ang Buildforce at Decarich noong 2025. Kasalukuyang nasa korte ng Quezon City ang mga kaso nila.
