Imagine getting invites from several FAs asking you if you need their guidance on managing your finances, MALULULA KA TALAGA!

Parang nang-a-ambush! πŸ˜…

First off, money matters are very personal so be careful who you trust and choose to be vulnerable with.

Money is hard to earn nowadays so make sure na you really know where to put your money.

Now the question is, π—΅π—Όπ˜„ π˜„π—Άπ—Ήπ—Ή π˜†π—Όπ˜‚ π—Έπ—»π—Όπ˜„ π˜„π—΅π—Άπ—°π—΅ 𝗼𝗻𝗲 π˜π—Ό 𝗽𝗢𝗰𝗸?

SIMPLE.

Remove those who give you outright quotation.

Why?

Kasi they didn't even ask the following:
- What's your objective?
- What's your priority?
- What's your budget?
- What's your timeline?
- What's your risk appetite?
and so much more!

How come they were able to give you solutions without even asking you these basic questions?

Kaya as much as possible, stay away from these people.

Choose those who give time to assess what you really need at the moment.

Kasi minsan akala natin we already know what we want then all of a sudden, ma-re-realize nalang natin na hindi pala yun ang tama and kulang pa pala ang akala nating enough na.

Yung mga nag-iinvite saten ng Zoom calls to discuss? Accept them.

Di ka naman required to buy from them if you attend eh.

Just show up, listen, and take down notes on everything.

Use whatever you learned from the meeting as your guide on which plan is best for you.

There is 𝗑𝗒 π—’π—‘π—˜ π—¦π—œπ—π—˜ π—™π—œπ—§π—¦ π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿ na financial product so refrain from copying the plan of someone else kasi magkaiba kayo in many aspects.

By attending these Zoom meetings, you'll know kung alin ba talaga ang bagay sayo.

-------
So bakit ka pa andito?

Chat mo na yung nag-invite sayo for a Zoom meeting! πŸ˜‚

Kung wala pa nagcha-chat sayo, tayo nalang usap. Slide into my DM lol

That meeting could change your perspective on personal finance.

Take control of your money as early as now or else it will be the one to control you.

A year ago, my mom got hospitalized for experiencing extreme pains in her stomach. She couldn't even walk towards the nearest hospital due to the excruciating pain.

You see, she has always been the type of person who put other people first. She always take care of the people around her, a lone breadwinner of our family and extended families, and a private caregiver to a Chinese family in Tacloban for a decade now.

Truly a selfless person. So when I heard that she got admitted in a hospital last year, I told her that I'll take care of it. The only thing she has to do is to get well asap.

An easy thing to say but a challenging one to do for a daughter with no emergency funds and hmo.

In our family, it was only my mom and I who have an active income that time. We are in a middle of a pandemic and the only money I had back then came from my meager savings and monetary aid I received from SSS.

I remember how I had to work for multiple jobs just to pool funds for the bill and her medicines.

Asking help from other people is usually something that my pride won't allow but when I saw my mom suffering and getting stressed over the increasing bills, I didn't have a choice but to swallow it. I cried for hours after I hit share on my post on social media asking for donations from my friends.

It was humiliating and traumatic at the same time.

That was the moment I told myself that that would be the last time I will be begging for financial help from others.

From then on, I started educating myself about financial literacy. I learned that it would be wise to build a solid foundation first - that protection must come first before wealth accumulation.

My family, especially my mom, deserve better.

So I am getting them health insurances so they will no longer have to worry about the bills and be treated in a good hospital if in case an illness or accident strikes.

Days after, a friend from Sun Life called me to ask if I am still willing to continue my application with them. I immediately said "yes" and underwent their hiring process.

Fast forward, my manager told me this morning that I'm finally a licensed Financial Advisor!

And guess who will be my first signed client?

The person who's celebrating her birthday today!

HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY, MAMA 🌹

A coincidence? Maybe.

But one thing is for sure, someone is getting a health insurance as her birthday gift.

GHINOST AKO 😭

Tama ba spelling? HAHA.

Anyway, supposed to be, I have a client meeting today kaso di siya sumipot. ☹️

Halos everyday after work, I always make it to a point to educate or guide someone with their finances for FREE.

Some say YES.
But most of them say NO, NEXT TIME NA LANG, NEGATIVE, or worse SEEN lang.

It's okay to be late or to postpone nalang. Wag lang yung bigla nalang di magpaparamdam.

Maiintindihan ko naman basta magsabi lang.

I hope everyone understands na our time also runs.

Meron din kaming iba pang ginagawa aside from this so I hope magsabi nalang kayo ahead of time na di na kayo makakaabot as a sign of courtesy.

❗This is what INFLATION looks like ❗

In the example below, after 5 or 10 years, baka isang item nalang mabili mo sa 500 mo. That's the reality.

So I advise everyone who want to save to not put all your money in the bank. Traditional banks have an average interest rate of 0.125% annually. Less than 1%!

Inflation rate is at 2%-4% annually.

That's a BIG difference.

10 or more years from now, baka barya nalang yan.

I am not against putting your money in banks. What I'm saying is don't put EVERYTHING in your banks.

Choose other financial instruments instead na kayang i-combat ang 3% inflation rate. There are a lot of options for you na suitable sa risk appetite and budget mo.

βœ… Digital banks
βœ… Bonds
βœ… Money Market
βœ… VUL
βœ… Mutual Funds
βœ… UITF
βœ… COOP
βœ… MP2
βœ… PERA
βœ… Real Estate
βœ… Stocks
βœ… Cryptocurrency

and more!

Research ka lang then choose which one best suits your needs.

It is your responsibility to be knowledgeable about this because everything you need to know is free na online.

Last na, DON'T PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET. Wag kang gaya-gaya!

Piliin mo yung sakto sa budget mo, risk appetite, at goals mo.

Even if I fail at first attempt, I will try again and again.

If I missed waking up early yesterday, I'll try again today.
If I wasn't able to eat nutritious meals yesterday, I'll try again today.
If I skipped my workout yesterday, I'll try again today.

Whatever I failed doing yesterday, I'll restart today.

Not tomorrow, not next week, not next month, not next year,
TODAY.

I will fix my mistakes today because I CAN.

Delaying it won't help.

I've learned this the hard way last year, I'm not repeating it this year.

Let's all be consistent with the things we want to achieve this year, okay?

Enough with the Law of Attraction alone.

Nothing will happen unless you do something about it.
