Celebrating my first year with Pru Life UK!

When I initially joined Pru Life UK, my only goal was straightforward which is to acquire and manage my own protection and investment plan.

I was confident that this plan would secure my future.

Then, one day, I asked myself, "Bakit hindi ko ito ishare sa mga tao kung alam ko naman na makakatulong ito sa kanila?"

This question made me realize to share this opportunity with everyone, believing it could help them too.

I began offering my services as a financial advisor to fellow Filipinos. Every insurance application I submitted brought me a sense of fulfillment. It gave me a new sense of purpose in life helping every Filipino achieve their financial success.

My first year with Pru Life UK has been an incredible journey. What began as a personal quest for financial security has evolved into a mission to assist my fellow Filipinos in achieving their financial goals.

I look forward to more years of helping others through my journey with Pru Life UK.

"𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁?"

Honestly, this just gets even more difficult to answer the more experience we get,

The first years in the industry are the most crucial, and let me tell you why:

As advisors, we realize that we are the same: humans with dreams that we want to make a reality.

However, in reality, not all will take my recommendation, it's their decision. But does that mean I 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲? 𝗡𝗼. Because I did my advocacy of reaching out, educating, and empowering. That is the very result of what we advisors want to achieve in each person we meet—𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

As I love to say to my fellows in the industry:

"Is it better to keep reaching out to all people and get some "No's"?

Or is it better to reach out to only a few people you are more certain will affirm your services?

The second option is efficient and 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀!

But what if critical illness struck the person you did not approach? and they were not prepared when 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 secure that protection that they were unaware of?"

So, my greatest learning so far is that our advocacy should be the prime reason why we do what we do, above anything else, whatever the outcome.

This will motivate us to meet more Filipinos who are unconsciously in need of financial security.

Reflecting today, my 5 years are 5 years of strengthening 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵.

Faith in what we do.

Faith that we are improving the country.

Faith that we are spreading His goodness through our advocacy every single day.

This faithful motivation is what will make new advisors 5 years into 25 years of service in their career.

𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻!

I remember the times when our teachers would give us an assignment to answer:
“How do you see yourself 10 years from now?”.

As an eight-year-old back then, I would write down a lot of things and the career that I want to partake in.

One funny line I remember writing was:
“I want to wear corporate attire like my mom and dad!”

10 years later, I was able to wear one in a big event I applied to and even received a national award for a business presentation!
I was also eight when I won a mini-speech festival competition.

And today, it feels so surreal to me that I’m now speaking in a huge event in front of hundreds of people, empowering them to also find their voice and spotlight as champions.

It’s amazing that those small patterns we envisioned and created in the past really form part of the present and future.
